N-able Ships Second N-central Hotfix as Attackers Persist on Managed Systems

· vulnerability · privilege-escalation

N-able released a second hotfix for its N-central remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform as part of an ongoing investigation into active exploitation of a previously disclosed flaw. The company said it is expanding protections in response to continued monitoring of threat actors evolving their techniques, and noted this round is not a duplicate of its earlier fix. Because N-central is used by MSPs to manage client environments, successful exploitation can give attackers a foothold into multiple downstream organizations. Admins running N-central should apply the hotfix immediately and review managed endpoints for signs of persistence.
