Critical Stack Overflow in HP VoIP Phones Enables Unauthenticated Remote Code Execution

· rce · vulnerability · cve

A critical stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in HP VoIP phones can be exploited remotely to achieve code execution on the affected device without authentication. VoIP phones are typically connected to trusted internal network segments, meaning successful exploitation provides an attacker a persistent foothold inside the enterprise perimeter. HP VoIP devices are widely deployed across enterprise environments. Organizations should check for vendor patches, apply them immediately, and consider network segmentation to isolate VoIP infrastructure from core enterprise networks until a fix is available.
