Google Launches AI Threat Defense with Automated Security Operations Agents

Google announced Google AI Threat Defense, an automated security system embedded in Google Security Operations that uses AI agents to detect, prioritize, and contain AI-powered threats. The system follows a four-step framework: Prepare, scan and prioritize, remediate, and monitor — designed to match the speed of AI-accelerated attackers. AI agents handle continuous monitoring and routine triage tasks, freeing security teams to focus on investigation and response rather than alert volume. This is Google’s first integrated AI-versus-AI defensive product available to enterprise Security Operations customers on GCP.
