Google Extends Gmail End-to-End Encryption to Android and iOS for Enterprise Users

Google has rolled out end-to-end encryption for Gmail on Android and iOS, making the feature available to enterprise Google Workspace users on mobile without additional tools or plugins. Previously, Gmail E2EE on mobile required S/MIME configuration or third-party email clients.

This is a meaningful usability improvement for regulated industries where encrypted email is a compliance requirement. Enterprise Workspace admins should verify the feature is enabled and confirm their key management approach aligns with organizational policy.
