Google released Gemini 3.5 Flash to general availability at Google I/O 2026, skipping the preview stage and deploying directly across Gemini app, AI Mode in Google Search, Gemini API, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform, and Android Studio. For developers, access is via Gemini API in Google AI Studio and Android Studio. Enterprises can access it through Gemini Enterprise. The rapid cross-product deployment makes 3.5 Flash the effective default Google AI model for the near term.
