AWS IAM Identity Center Gains Multi-Region Replication and Custom Domain Support

AWS has expanded IAM Identity Center with multi-Region replication support and custom vanity domain routing for access portals. Organizations can now replicate their IAM Identity Center instance across multiple AWS Regions to improve resilience and reduce latency for globally distributed workforces.

Custom domain support enables organizations to front the access portal with their own vanity URL without requiring changes to existing application integrations. The feature is relevant to security and identity teams managing large-scale AWS SSO deployments who need regional failover for their identity broker.
